¿Qué les parece esto, amigos videojugadores? Nintendo pensando en nuestros bolsillos, torpedeados constantemente por otros fabricantes de consolas y juegos. <Texto en Inglés>
In a market of rising game prices, Nintendo is doing its part to keep consumer costs lower.
Next-Gen analyzed the average retail price of a new game prior to 2007 and found that the average cost was between US $40-43. Prices started to shoot up in November 2006, which saw the releases of Gears of War and Guitar Hero II. Even if Guitar Hero II, which includes a peripheral and therefore costs far more than usual for a game, is left out of the averages, game prices still saw an increase coming into 2007, mostly due to Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 titles costing an average of $60 per game, up from the unspoken "official" game price of $50 that has been the standard since the NES era.
